Dr. Lu Wang is a venture partner of Valere Venture. He received his degree in theoretical physics, computer science and neurobiology. His career started as Medtronic Diabetes as the principal scientist, focusing on continuous glucose sensor algorithm design and electrochemistry. In 2008 he left Medtronic to join Incube Labs as a principal engineer. He was involved in several medical device projects, including a transdermal drug delivery system, an epileptic seizure detection and intervention system, an implantable atrial defibrillator, and a smart pill drug delivery device. He was the senior vice president of AI and Bioinformatics at Flow Pharma Inc., and he founded and manages Flow Pharma's joint venture in China, Heifei Sageland Biotech Co. Ltd. He also plays an active role in the company's R&D, manufacturing and business development operations.
Dr. Wang is the inventor of more than 30 patents, the co-author of several recent papers in immuno-oncology, and the co-translator of the book US Healthcare System. He is also a consultant and representative at the National Investment Banking Association.
Christie Wang is a venture partner of Valere Venture. She is a serial entrepreneur and investor in the medical field, particularly innovative medtech. Among others, Christie co-founded Vista Robotics, launching an orthopaedics surgical robot resolving clinical problems for spine/neural surgeons. She also co-founded and invested in SpineEx, which developed innovative spinal interbody implants and is currently in full commercialization. Prior, Christie was CEO of Jiangsu International Industrial Research and Investment Group (USA), a crosee-border venture firm and industrial platform supported by Jiangsu Province, PRC, empowering IoT, medtech companies in their Asia entry endeavors. Before that, she worked for Hewlett Packard Legal/Corporate Department in corporate governance, intellectual property and investments.
Christie holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Northwestern University School of Law, and completed the Northwestern Medical Innovation Program. She served as mentor for Stanford University Technology Innovation. Christie was awarded the Most Outstanding Oversea Youth Chinese by the State Council of PRC in 2015 and met with Chinese President XI Jiping in Seattle. She was recognized as "the Most Innovative Person for Nanjing" by city of Nanjing in 2019 (her hometown), Jiangsu Province.
Mr. Raymond Muskaluk is the VP of Business Development of Valere Venture. Raymond has more than 30 years working experiences in business development and cross-country program management, which include: Senior Program and People Management-Global and R&D programs; Strategy Development-Global and Business Programs; Entrepreneurial Experience-Started a new business, negotiated & closed business deals; Multi-functional Area Experience-Cross-company, R&D, Manufacturing, and Marketing; Regional Experience-Americas, Asian & European regional experience; R&D Experience-Engineering, Project Manager, Section Manager, Business Manager; Regulation Experience-Materials(e.g. RoHS) & Technical Regulations (e.g. Safety).
Raymond played key roles in the success of multiple market penetration initiatives in Asia and Europe regions, and multiple new product R&D across multi-functional areas in R&D, Manufacturing, and Marketing within his 20 years fruitful works in Hewlett Packard. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and M.S. in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
